DIFY stands for Do It For You, a play on the DIY phrase. A lot of our customers are not looking to do it themselves, and that’s where we come in.
We are officially listed as an LLC (Limited Liability Company) in the State of Illinois and registered with the Secretary of State. The scope of work we perform does not require us to have a general contractor’s license or to be bonded. We do not take on work that would require any specific type of license within the state of Illinois.
Most of the work we do has low potential for liability. However, we do have general liability insurance for your protection.
We carry comprehensive general liability insurance in the amount of $1,000,000 general liability insurance.
We offer handyman services, repairs, and property maintenance in Frankfort, Mokena, Frankfort Square, Richton Park, Monee, Green Garden, New Lenox, Manhattan, Peotone, University Park, Crete, Steger, Park Forest, Matteson, Olympia Fields, Flossmoor, Homewood, Country Club Hills, Hazel Crest, Orland Hills, Tinley Park, Oak Forest, Lockport, Homer Glen, Palos Park, Worth, Palos Heights, Chicago Heights, Sauk Village, Crestwood, Lemont and the surrounding areas.
We primarily work on residential properties. These are both single family homes and multi-family properties. We also offer a range of services for rental properties including preventive maintenance plans. We will also take on commercial work for smaller businesses as well.
Estimates are always free. If you provide us with details and pictures of your project, we can give you a ballpark price compared to similar projects we’ve done. Typically these are done over the phone through text message rather than onsite. While an estimate is fairly accurate, there are always things that may occur to increase or lower the overall cost of a job. We do our best to make you aware of these depending on your specific project.
Are you wanting or needing an in-person quote? As a small company, our time is valuable. In person consultations require an assessment deposit starting at $75. This non-refundable deposit is applied as a credit toward your project if you choose to move forward with the project we quote within sixty days.

Most of our jobs are priced based on a flat rate for the work. After years of testing different pricing models, we believe this is the best option.
We encourage our customers to purchase specific materials that coordinate with their space themselves and provide us pictures of the items ahead of time.
If the project requires us to source and deliver materials, we markup the materials to cover the time and expenses associated with this service. We inform our customers of the overall cost of materials prior to performing the work requiring the materials. All material costs noted on the final invoice are non-refundable.
Primarily we stick to small and medium projects. We will occasionally take on a larger project during non-peak times.
Because of the nature of our business, we do not take on any major work that would require permits as this work is designated for contractors with specialized licenses.
